If you missed my interview on SYN’s Get Cereal in Melbourne early this morning, never fear! You too can now listen to me waking up live on air on their website (the hosts were practically bouncing off the walls with energy, I don’t know how they do it!). Or if you’d prefer to hear me in a more alert state of consciousness tune into Little Fish on JOY 94.9 this Saturday at 3pm. Alternatively you can bypass all my drivel all together and just rock up to my show at Yah Yah’s on Saturday night.

It’s my first Melbourne show with the band for 2012 and to celebrate this special occasion I’ve decided to drag three very talented horn players along for the ride. I’ve rearranged the trumpet and trombone charts to accommodate some funky sax lines and I’m really looking forward to hearing it being played in our first rehearsal together – during soundcheck on the night.

I’ll also consider this gig momentous because I’m ditching my beloved Korg organ (which I christened ‘Korgan’) in favor of my newly purchased 1960s Farfisa Compact…which I’m yet to nickname. I’m happy to take suggestions. Here’s something to get the creative juices flowing:
